discuss iconic Sports moments teams and athletes from our generation this is Gen
X classic sports sports talk for Gen xers by gen xers welcome back episode I
don't know what episode number it'll be yet we'll worry about that later I'm going to do something for y'all I did
some research and we're going today's topic is a 1978 197 1977
1978 Super Bowl champion Dallas Cowboys okay I did some research some numbers
but I want to set the stage a little bit I thought this would be fun in
1977 who was President Jimmy Carter right vice president was anybody know
Walter mandale Mond the price of a new home in 19 I'm just setting the stage for what era we're talking about the
price of a new home was $54,000 in 1977 the median price the median household
income was $13,500 a year for a household wow a
stamp cost 13 cents a gallon of gas was 62 cents a
dozen eggs cost 80 82 cents I think I paid 369 or something the other day a
gallon of milk was $168 that's four bucks now and a Toyota Corolla brand new
cost $112,000 so that's the era that we're about to talk about so let me give yall a little history lesson and I'll
ask y'all to chime in if you want to and let me give you a little bit background
and the Cowboys started building up their roster in the late 60s this is the era before what roster building wise
this is the era before free agency so the NFL draft I think was 12 rounds back
then but you drafted a team and with few two exceptions these dudes stayed with you for a decade right we that's why we
all knew who the whole lineup was for our favorite team okay so there's no free agency guys
kind of aged out their contracts and they go to somebody else in
1976 the Cowboys lost the Super Bowl to the Pittsburgh Steelers that was Super
Bowl I don't know whatever 10 in 1977 in the Super Bowl Oakland this was
John Madden Super Bowl that and they beat Minnesota so Dallas in 76 is in the
Super Bowl against the Steelers in 77 uh they're not playing in it at all
so the Super Bowl happens in January of 77 and April or May the NFL draft happens it's about 12 rounds Long and
for a free car wash in 1977 in the draft
Casey who did the Dallas Cowboys select with the with the their first pick
you've already mentioned him tonight 1977 who' they draft Danny White nope the other guy
Tony Dorset Tony Dorset Tony Mark what did Tony Dorset done in college for the
record in 1977 I was one that's a great memory you have then
I taught you well as an infant Mark what did my what did Tony dorett accomplish in college he was the Heisman Trophy
winner he was and where did he go to what where did he go to college David
pit pit so Tony Dorset how much did Tony Dorset weigh roughly guys he was also a
national champion he was also a national champion at pit uh anybody know about what Tony Dorset weight at the time
about 165 probably he looked like he weighed 165 soaking wet so I'm just
setting the background so think about it in these terms and 76 the Cowboys are
good good enough to get to the Super Bowl but not good enough to beat the Steelers so they lose the next year they don't go at all neither do the Steelers
in 77 right after the Super Bowl there's a draft and the Cowboys traded with the
Seattle Seahawks and got the number two pick in the entire draft okay and they
select Heisman Trophy winner Tony dors set all right a little trivia for for
you who was the quarterback at that time that would be Roger stack yeah uh
anybody that knows jump in when Roger stall back was a younger quarterback for
the Cowboys Tom Landry could not not decide between Roger stach and this
other quarterback he had Craig Morgan so Craig Morton so he invented this scheme
called the quarterback Shuffle where he literally traded quarterbacks out per play they bring the new play in the
other one had come out per play and no one had ever seen anything kind of like that and all stall back did was get
frustrated so at some point in that season that that happened stall back and
I guess Landry had a big meeting and the the team decided that uh Morton need to move on or something because they needed
to hand the Reigns over to stb back so that's just the history about it all right um so Tony Dorset gets drafted
after a trade and I don't know who traded for what but they traded since they had just been in the Super Bowl two
years before they were pretty good so they had to get early into the draft to get a running game so they traded
somebody or something to get down to number two they picked up Tony Dorset all right Heisman winning running back
national champion in round three Cowboys selected a wide receiver and his name
was anybody know I don't expect you to but you know the name Tony Hill Tony Hill Tony Hill all
right and round 10 the Cowboys selected another
quarterback now Roger St St back is clearly the number one guy he's the man Craig Morton is
gone Roger strawb back's backup is this dude uh I don't even know who it was at the time I don't know if it was Danny
White yet or not but for insurance they drafted a quarterback in the 10th round and that dude's name was Steve deberg
does anybody remember Steve deberg really yes I was shocked played for Tampa later on and then he played for
the Chiefs that's when that's who I remembered him but you're right he did play okay
so so the Cowboys miss the Super Bowl they've already lost two years before to
the Steelers they need a running game they trade they get Tony D set with the
second pick so now they have a running game okay I'll get around in a minute to all the
accolades but the Cowboys also made three key personnel changes to the team
besides Dorset getting drafted and I I don't expect you to know this I didn't know it but I looked it up and here's
what they were tell me if you've heard of these dudes Leroy Jordan yeah finally retired
he' lost a step or two yeah he retired and he was replaced by one of my
favorite players at the time and I don't know why but it's a guy named Bob brunig remember him I think he's number 53
maybe yes okay so that was Key Personnel change number one Leroy Jordan obviously
a great linebacker but let's be honest he probably lost a step or three right this guy named Randy White moved
from linebacker he'd outsized himself at linebacker and he moved to what position guys tackle defensive tackle that was
Key Personnel room uh move number two and number three was this Personnel move
where a young dude named Thomas Henderson became a starter instead of
just a special teamer he became a starter at strongs side or Sam linebacker those were three key moves
that they made Landry made going into the season besides having a rookie running
back who just won the Heisman Trophy in the national championship okay um so since this is participatory
does anybody know in 1978 how many games they played in the regular season just Shout It Out
14 12 12 they played 14 games in in
1977 um they were 12- two by the way they were 12- two we're getting to
that by the way does anybody know what happened to Craig Morton after the Cowboys got rid of him so that Roger
stach could take the team over he went to the Denver Broncos he went to the Denver Broncos Casey do you remember
that at all no okay he goes to the Denver Broncos Craig Morton does and the
Broncos finally become legit and in the
1977 um fall of 77 he's he's finally got the um the
Broncos on the cusp of the Super Bowl right all right so Mark nailed it on the head Cowboys were 12- two that year this
is weird they started the season 8 and zero in a 14 game season 80 I mean
that's unheard it does does not happen very often then they lost to the Cardinals in game
nine at home and what is that humming noise
anybody know no idea oh was that the okay that's fine they lost to the Cardinals at home and
then they lost to the Steelers on the road and so they went from 8 and0 to 8
and10 or 8-2 so then what they do they roll off four wins in a row to end the
season so they go 8 and0 0 and2 four no to go 12-2 on the season Isn't that
cool all right so Craig Morton gets his team to the Super Bowl this is the first
Super Bowl I remember watching do you guys remember the 1978 Super Bowl um oh yeah with the
Denver Broncos the Denver Broncos had the orange crush defense right Casey you remember the Broncos orange jerseys with
the blue helmets and white pants okay remember the jersey that year the Super Bowl was held in New Orleans and
Superdome Craig Morton the former co-starter with stack leads the Broncos
in I don't remember their number but they lead it he leads them in against the Cowboys had the Cowboys ever won a Super
Bowl before this and who did they beat the Colts
nope no the uh dolphins dolphins Cowboys have lost the Super Bowl to the Colts
then they beat the Dolphins then they lost the Super Bowl to the Steelers so the point is they're kind of trying to build
U um Dynasty kind of thing and they've kind of had mixed results you know lose
one win one lose one so here we are and they get to play the uh Broncos
apparently and I don't remember this apparently it was a big deal that these two dudes were going to square off in
the Super Bowl Morton was a little older I think um what was interesting about
Roger Stack's start to his NFL career where did he go to college Navy he
missed four years because naal commitment yeah Mark you remember that he had to serve that back
then these uh Academy guys so Casey stall back wins the Heisman at Navy and
then 69 in 60 yeah somewhere in there and he has to uh then serve four years so Dallas doesn't get the guy to 72 or
something like that 73 and he's got to kind of prove himself and so he competes with this Craig Morton guy and they
literally switch them out play bypl go figure you know for all of Landry's innovations that was kind of a strange
one I thought so they square off in the Super Bowl they Square Off in New Orleans do y'all
remember that any I mean you just remember that game right you Remember The Telecast of it and everything there
were a couple of really interesting plays the one that I remember is because one of the participants in it died not
too many months ago do you remember any trick plays in that Super Bowl the uh
halfback pass that new house thre to Golden Richards yeah cown Casey you remember Robert new house I I don't know
if you remember 44 number 44 for Dallas was a fullback remember the name I don't
um as David and I came to find out he was known as chunky baby apparently by people in the bleachers yeah somebody in
at the game we went to was hollering for chunky baby and it was Robert new house he had Barry Sanders thighs before they
were Barry Sanders thighs huge thighs he played fullback Casey and Landry was kind of known for
trick plays at times he'd pull them out at the right time so in that Super Bowl
they hand off to Robert new house and the crazy thing was if I'm not mistaken he rolls left and pulls up left-handed
cuz he was left-handed and throws a strike to a guy named Golden Richards
who was Dallas's thirdd or fourth fourth receiver and he catches a touchdown over
the middle on a trick play halfback pass well technically a fullback pass and
that was I mean I remember watching that happen and just losing my mind about how cool that was at
Golden Richards kind of had to make it like a diving catch I mean he wouldn't laid out but kind of falling diving type
yeah Mark so you remember the coverage of that game watching that one too in 78 some somewhat yeah that was my first
Super Bowl that well let me back up I remember in 76 them losing to the Steelers I don't remember sitting there
and watching it but I remember that they lost to the Steelers and I was pretty upset and that really tore my family up
because of who the Steelers quarterback was he was from Louis yeah I was going to touch on that a little bit go ahead
it's it was hard Dallas Cowboys fan but then there's Bradshaw yeah from 30
minutes down the road for us at Tech Louisiana Tech so you kind of had to root for him if he wasn't playing the
Cowboys yeah I mean it was think about think about the guys in our little area
how interesting it is that that Roger stach was a quarterback of the Dallas
Cowboys Terry Bradshaw was from shreport and Rustin was the quarterback of the
Steelers and down the road Archie man you had those three guys Archie Manning with the Saints you had those three guys
as contemporaries two of them uh one of them had been a Heisman Trophy winner
but obviously at the time Bradshaw I guess broke every probably passing record Tech had back then right and
footnote to history there Casey do you remember dad ever say anything about Terry Bradshaw at Louisiana Tech did you
remember no other than uh uh knowing that I know Phil Robertson played at
that time true there's a whole lot of information but but what what I was getting at was that our whole family not
me obviously oh yeah I know where you're going the whole family went to Rustin to watch him play his final college game
for Tech it was such a big deal that he was leaving our like grandparents dad
right I remember him talking about our grandparents going to G Maybe not maybe other games but and the funny thing
about that is how uh the people in the stands would get dressed up yep to go to
games back then even then they're wearing suits and stuff to the but our our family I guess you know grandparents
dad and whoever they made a special not a special uh effort to go see him in his
last game at Tech because he was I guess at the time they knew he was sort of a
generational Talent so to speak and they all knew he was destined for big things
and I'm sure they didn't want him in Dallas because they already had their boy starback you know so anyway so I I don't know if it was
NBC CBS I don't know who broadcast the game but the Cowboys in the Broncos Square Off the trick play was Robert new
house throwing a strike to Golden Richards and if I'm not mistaken Golden Richards wasn't even the top three
receiver it was Tony Hill Drew Pearson and probably Butch Johnson Johnson and Golden Richards must have been the
fourth option which is crazy cuz it's literally the only play I remember Golden Richards ever making in Dallas
Johnson was around then huh I think so think so he yeah um okay so setting the
stage they went 8 and zero they go 0 and2 then they go 4-0 um some footnotes about that so they
kept their by the way so that was Super Bowl 12 they lose to the Steelers in Super Bowl 10 and then Madden wins his
in Super Bowl 11 I think and then Dallas plays the Broncos and beats them 27 to1
in Super Bowl 12 um the interesting thing about that is
who Dallas played in the playoffs on the way to the uh Super Bowl two of the
teams that they played were the Bears and the Vikings and if you really think about history then the Vikings were kind
of a kind of a good program at the time right and uh Bud Grant was right and but
the Bears I don't remember in the M mid 70s the Bears being they weren't I
didn't think they were so Walter Payton playing for them then he had to have been a young running
back for them by then right I would think I didn't know that either I didn't know that's who they beat either here's
a trivia question I just looked it up what where was that Super Bowl play the super D yeah the NFL highlight film of
that is titled doomsday in the dome who are you going to touch on who the MVPs were for that game funny you should
mention that David I said plural MVPs funny funny you should mention that David who were the MVPs of that game
hary Martin and Randy White yes let me tell you Casey you know who they are right yep all right first of all let me
kind of recap the season so the Cowboys win 27 to1 Roger gets his win over
Morton Morton sad he didn't get his win over Roger um this rookie running
back gets out of the national title straight to the Super Bowl I remember Dorsett saying at one point he thought
they were going to go Super Bowl every year it seemed pretty easy that year you know little did he know he was never
going back as a well he went sorry he went back two years later against the Steelers and then he was never going he
never went back to win one he didn't win one anymore wow that's right yeah I didn't think he went back but he didn't
win one the Steelers had they haven't played the Steelers yet and yet another matchup that they're going to freaking lose to the Steelers but David's right
har Martin and Randy White were the co-mvps of the the win you said Randy White right yes all right oh I found
some trivia here go ahead I love it go ahead we've talked about the media
earlier um what network carried the game and I'm
just going to guess CBS CBS who were the announcers I have no idea anybody Mark
let's let's play the game Mark make a guess Super Bowl 12 in New Orleans
Dallas Denver who was possibly a CBS announcer I'm going to say I'm going to
say Pat Summerall and hold on not Madden I'm GNA
say Pat sumall and um oh crap um
Tom Brookshire yep wow I wouldn't have guessed that Tom Brook
jeez here's another one just for fun cost of a 302
commercial oh Lord there $1,000 25
Grand 162,000 oh wow one more give some more
yeah I love it radio announcers CBS Radio who were the announcers radio I'm
going to say um I'm going to say uh uh Jack Buck yes and I'm going to say uh
hang on there's three at least according to
Wikipedia Hank stram Jack Buck right no okay who jackb Jim Kelly
who's that not the Jim Kelly Jim Kelly not that one and sunny jurgenson oh
Sunny you know my other guest was going to be uh Gary Danielson cuz he's a
thousand years old that's good trip you thank you you got any more if you do hang on to it
speaking of MVPs Harvey Martin what position did have Harvey Martin play for the Cowboys defensive end okay get
this in 1977 when this all happened Harvey Martin had an unofficial cuz the
sack was not a stat yet how many unofficial sacks did Harvey Martin have
that year it's a lot just Mark what do you
think Mark's over here playing Tetris on his computer he's not even listening I'm trying to look it up Harvey Martin had
23 sacks that year wow can we get can we get a clap for Harvey Martin being a
beast back in the day man I remember him being a beast and Mark when did the sack
become an official stat cuz I honestly have no idea but this was the team recorded unofficial number I thought it
was by that time so um I don't know but it was an unofficial 23 which is more
than stray hands 22 and2 that would have been the the standard you know here's
one more trivia since you were talking about the quarterbacks facing off Morton and starback yeah Cowboys
defense how many turnovers did they have in that game nine they had eight oh are
you serious that's kind of worse than the Buffalo pounding that they put on them in years later how many completions
did the Broncos have in that game eight eight for how many
yards 72 61 that's why it was called doomsday in the dome y that defense
showed up turnovers I didn't and eight I guess I forgot about according to
Wikipedia Mark did you find anything cool on your computer another small trivia Tom Jackson was a linebacker for
the Tom Jackson announcer anoun with the Burman which we didn't mention while ago Tom Jackson yeah on our other podcast in
yeah Tri okay who is Cowboys punter Danny White
yep how many people were on the roster back then for the the game day roster that's now 53 people how many was it
back then 40 I don't know I think it was 45 was it so think about that there's no
such thing as a third string quarterback so on the game day roster if a dude could Punt and be the backup that's a
valuable two spots for one guy that was a big deal that's an extra receiver cornerback tackle whatever good Mark
that's a good I wonder what year they drafted Danny White I mean he was 76 oh so he did go back further than into the
SE wow really but he came from the world Football League when they folded do y'all
remember yeah okay he was a Arizona State punter SL quarterback that's right
I think it was Arizona State all right so I'm going to continue
with my list of that of what happened um NFL defensive player of the year was
guesses that year yeah NFL Defensive Player of the Year the year the Cowboys beat the Broncos in Super Bowl 1977
regular season 78 Super Bowl that have been a cowboy who was it Randy White it
was actually Harvey Martin Mr 23 sacks that was a good guess though it actually probably could have been Randy White
just as easily okay here's some okay not tonight but we're going to eventually
talk about kind of the evolution of the sport itself as far as offensive football and Rule changes that provided
for that but I'll tell you this our favorite receiver Drew Pearson the
original 88 he led uh the
NFL in receiving Drew Pearson did that year how many yards did he have guess I
mean you know just he led the NFL and receiv with how
many yards 850 okay says 850 Dave said 850 what do
you think no idea just be a guess Mark what do you think if he led the NFL in 1977
in receiving how many yards would that be worth 600 no no that's too
low 750 Mark you got to throw something out there
brother 900 hey he had 87 yards receiving and led the NFL can you
believe that and you know it took him forever to get in the Hall of Fame and
people were like well just look at his numbers he only had that 400 receptions for blah blah blah yard this dude led
the NFL and receiving with 800 yards how much I mean they didn't throw the ball
that much folks you know that's that's it's all relative to the era that you're playing in okay I love this stuff Roger
stall back LED the NFL no I'm sorry Roger strawb back LED the NFC in
touchdown passes how many touchdown passes do y'all think he
had 24 Casey what do you
think 20
Mark in the 1977 the NFC leader in touchdown passes Roger stach had how
many I'm going to say 18 bingo bango 18 touchdown passes led
to n guess that was a guess wow okay what did momes have last year roughly
touchdown passes I know two years ago Dak had 36 M
had hit momes had had at least 30 last year 35 or what so 18's pretty
pedestrians what I'm saying but it nowadays but it led the NFC I bet the
NFL the NFL leader didn't have more than 20 probably okay more trivia I've got
even more and then I got a personal there I your your host I have a personal
connection to this Super Bowl a personal connection to the Super Bowl that I had
no idea about until two days ago when I researched this and this is really cool
but I'm not going to get to that yet the Cowboys drafted another guy that year
when they had a 12 round draft and besides Tony Hill and Steve deberg they drafted a guy named Glenn corano in the
second round does anybody remember what Glenn Carano was never heard of him oh I
know bet you do I know who I know who his daughter is exactly there's a there's a there's a
entertainment trivia connection there Glenn corano was drafted to be the third
quarterback for the Cowboys okay and he he's not even a footnote in their
history really too much except he had a daughter who whose name is what Gina
Gina corano who is an action movie star former fighter cage fighter UFC uh WWE
did she do any of that no she was real fighter okay so Ronda Rousey type cage fighter Gina corano is now a Hollywood
action hero in her own movies and other people movies and so forth as a female
action star and her dad was a third string quarterback for Dallas Cowboys all right anybody got any other trivia
or thoughts about that before I tell you what my personal connection I found out two days ago is to
this anybody okay so you know I looked at their roster and
the second running back listed after well the third listed after Tony Dorsett
after Robert new house the third guy's name on the list is Larry Branson I do
not expect you to know who Larry Branson is but I met Larry Brenson 1988 I went
to football camp at the University of Arkansas and when you got up there they
took a coach from the Razer back staff and they created a little team for him and so that guy would be your team coach
for the week and besides all the football drills one of the things they would make you do is your team would
compete in different sports we played softball with a big like Nerf ball on
the on on the artificial turf baseball field with played full court basketball against other teams tug of war all this
competitive stuff and my coach's name was Larry brinon and Larry Brinson was built like Barry Sanders also and I love
the guy he was really nice guy he was a running back coach for the Razorbacks and two or three days into or a day or
two into this competition coach Brinson said guys if you guys will win this competition for me you know what I'm
going to do I'm going to bring you my Super Bowl ring and let every one of you wear it and look at at it well Larry
Brinson won that Super Bowl ring in 1978 on the Dallas Cowboys team when they beat the Denver Broncos we won the the
weekl long competition and we got to hold that Super Bowl ring so I had no idea that he was on that particular team
it just didn't click with me I was like okay Larry Brenson thirdd string running back Dallas Cowboys running back from
Florida and he was a my coach University of Arkansas f for football camp one year
a't that cool so the Cowboys finished the season with playoffs and everything 15 and2 they had all those personal uh
achievements by the Harvey white Harvey Martins of the world and the Randy whites of the world Roger stacks of the
world Tony Dorsett of the world and Drew Pearson so as far as our you
know uh franchise is concerned that was a pretty good season that's a pretty
good season abely pretty good season um anybody while I'm looking at his name here I didn't really remember the
anybody know what Thomas Hollywood Henderson did for for you know to contribute on special
teams one of the things he did even though he was drafted as a linebacker anybody know what he did on special team
he returned punts he returned punts yeah that dude was fast Hollywood Henderson returned punts
for the Cowboys while he was earning his way into the cuz that was just the routine back then back then you you got
drafted unless you were somebody really significant you went to special teams
and you played that and and was I mean guys a 45 man roster for games yeah and
nowadays it's at 53 and they're trying to bump it up to 56 or seven cuz guys gets get so hurt and banged up you can't
put a legit team out there anymore they didn't roll in waves of players like back then either right I mean there
wasn't that many specialist players right and um to be fair to a guy don't really like but Joe thyman returned
punts too and he was the third string quarterback for the Redskins I didn't know that yes I I don't know how many
but he definitely did that returning to punt with a single bar face mask hey
that says something about the guy that says something about the guy so Casey do you have
Recollections um I mean you were a year old but do you remember even the Steelers Cowboys Super Bowl matchups
back then cuz like I said they played in 76 they skipped a year Cowboys played this year and I think the following year
I think they played the Steelers again you don't remember any of that not really okay I was just wondering
um anyway I think I've exhausted my notes any thoughts from the panel here
about uh That season or that that Cowboys team or whatever it was pretty
stacked I'm working off the top of my head here but I'm going to say starback new house and Dorset I'm going to say
Billy uh Billy Johnson not white shoes but uh was that his name B johnon bu
Johnson ago Bush Johnson Drew Pearson um Cliff Harris Cliff Harris uh
d uh Waters Char Waters Mel rro probably if he was still was he
retired yet I oh he's on the Rock oh you're looking at it Billy Jo Dei wasn't he the tight end Billy Jo de was the
tight end um Tom rafy was the center um bra brunig was a linebacker I
don't know was Hollywood Henderson was a linebacker linebacker but they had didn't they have another one it was DD
Lewis on that D DD Lewis good call DD look number 50 all right I'm all right
defensive tackle John uh Dutton no he came later didn't he was he
on that team Ed two Tall Jones at one in Harvey Martin at the other Randy White had a
tackle so who was the other defensive tackle um I'm saying John Dutton Pew oh
he was still playing okay cool um offensive line Tom rafy was the center
who were the corners Waters and Harris were safeties was rro a corner corner he's a
corner Benny Barnes Benny Barnes with a number 31 no wait wait wait this was
before Everson Walls Benny Barnes Mark Washington I don't remember him Benny Barnes was on the roster oh okay was he
a safety cornerback okay I remember Benny bar the kicker was Efron
Herrera okay not sep in yet SE yet okay
oh five Field Five field goal attempts in the Super Bowl how many he
hit I don't see that they scored 27 so he hit two of them probably I guess um I
don't remember I remember Tom rafy I don't remember left tackles I mean uh
offensive line I remember guarden tackles if Lar Cole oh Larry Cole number
63 was he on there nope they come later I guess and Danny White punted that's
pretty good roll uh recall for a bunch of old dudes on that line Donan who Pat
Donovan yep uh who else you got Andy Frederick
uh don't remember him interesting okay uh so the Cowboys
field right Rayfield right oh there you go so yeah Cowboys that
that lineup we just mentioned stayed together for 68 9 10 years some of them you know so that's just the way they
built teams back then so anybody got anything else before I close out the
episode on the Cowboys winning their second Super Bowl in 1978 against de
Broncos cuz we could do an episode per superbow win really I had no idea they
had eight turnovers and I really did not know that was a bigger beat down I wonder how many sacks they had can you
see that Mark yeah look it up I mean that's a worst beat down defensively
than what they put on the bills really yeah it is I had no idea they had eight SA or
eight uh turnovers that's awesome by the way Casey you know what
who Tom lenry coached for before he was at the Cowboy just Old Man trivia here was it
the y you know what position he coached or what he what his job was
um just curious I mean Ain no defense was yeah guess who the offensive coordinator
was for the same Giants team by the way this was when Frank gford played for him who was offensive coordinator for giant
this talking about in the 50s uh yeah I know it was uh
uh Packers some dude named Lombardi oh oh that's right that's right they coach
together wonder why they were so good plus they had Frank gford and who was the head coach of the giant Curley was
